Once home I eat them plain, sometimes chopped with a little sprinkle of icing sugar, or with ice cream...but the most decadent way to eat them...try this recipe...mmmmm
Mr Cameron's Roasted Strawberries
Serves: How hungry are you all ?
You need:
500gm Strawberries, husks removed and washed. If the strawberries are large, cut them in half.
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
1 dessertspoon of balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon caster sugar
1 vanilla bean pod, split with innards (the good bits) scraped out
Cracked black pepper
Method:
Place strawberries in a large ovenproof dish, and stir in all the ingredients, making sure the strawberries are well coated.
Roast in a moderate oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve immediately with plain vanilla ice cream, or to be really decadent, a large dollop of King Island cream.
Note:- As vanilla bean pods are expensive, you can substitute vanilla sugar, or vanilla essence, but for a real treat, save up for fresh vanilla pods.
This is just deluxe.

Still trying to get used to being home after my great trip to Bali. I should be on top of the world but I am tired, lethargic and down right lacking in motivation. Maybe I need another holiday...lucky the school term is about to end!
I think I am missing the weather, the pool, brekkie being cooked for me, relaxing by the pool...oh the list is almost endless.
ho hum...need to save for the next holiday
Coral Bay for Christmas! Now that will be just wonderful.
Cheerio...

My favourite thing in the world (apart from IC of course) is strawberries, boonana (!) and cream.... Mmmmm, yum.
